Bulk Christmas Gifts for Employees

Buying for 100 or 1,000 people is a logistics problem before it’s a gift problem. Sizes, diets, addresses, lead times and a spreadsheet of who got what. These 12 ideas scale well, and each one comes with a note on what it takes to order in bulk.

Santa for Teams

One email list, every family covered

Upload a list of emails and every employee gets a personal invitation the same day. Each family picks a Santa video call, a phone call or a personalized video in any of 29 languages. $9.99 per family, pay by invoice, with weekly status reports to HR.

  • ✓ Video call, phone call or video
  • ✓ 29 languages, any time zone
  • ✓ No shipping, pay by invoice
  • ✓ HR never handles kids’ data

Where it disappoints: it only works for employees whose kids still believe in Santa. For a team with few young parents, pair it with a gift for everyone.

50 × $9.99 · one price per family, however many kids

Cookie tins from a bakery

$8–15 each📦 Needs shipping

Bakeries that do corporate orders can pack hundreds of identical tins. Everyone likes cookies, and there are no sizes to worry about.

Where it disappoints: Bakeries turn down large December orders placed late. Book by early November.

Tip: Ask for a nut-free batch, and order by early November.

3

Insulated tumblers by the case

$10–20 each📦 Needs shipping

Case packs of unbranded tumblers bring the price well below retail, and they suit every age and role.

Where it disappoints: Bulk packs sometimes arrive without individual boxes. Check how they’re packed if you plan to hand them out.

Hot cocoa kits in bulk

7

Wrapped chocolate squares by the pound

$1–3 per person📦 Needs shipping

Individually wrapped chocolates work as a desk drop for a very large office or as a small add-on to a bigger gift.

Where it disappoints: On its own it’s a desk treat, not a gift. Use it as an extra.

8

Mini plant kits in bulk

Easiest logistics

A gift choice platform

$25+ each📧 Arrives by email

Platforms like Snappy or Goody send each employee a link to choose their own gift, and they handle shipping. They cost more per person but take the logistics off HR.

Where it disappoints: Per-person fees and shipping add up to more than the gift. Check the total cost per person, not just the gift price.

10

Donation matching

Any amount📧 Arrives by email

The company matches each employee’s donation to a charity they choose. It scales to any headcount without shipping anything.

Where it disappoints: Take-up is often low without a push. Remind people twice.

11

A company-wide holiday lunch

$15–30 per head🎟️ Experience

One catering order for everyone on site, with delivery credit sent to remote staff so nobody is left out.

Where it disappoints: Remote and shift staff notice when they get a smaller version. Budget the same per head.

12

Canvas tote bags

$3–6 each📦 Needs shipping

A plain tote with a small gift inside makes packaging part of the gift, and people reuse the bag for years.

Where it disappoints: Plain totes are what everyone already has 10 of. It only works as packaging for something better.

Physical vs digital gift

At scale, the difference between physical and digital gifts gets bigger. Physical gifts need a warehouse, a packing day and a shipping budget. Digital gifts need a list of email addresses.

Why you should trust us

Who writes this. Andrei Zhizdra builds Santa AI, which made more than 14,000 Santa greetings for families last Christmas. HR teams asked us what to give instead of another mug, and this guide is the answer.

How we choose. We favor gifts people use every day, gifts that reach families, and gifts that don’t create shipping headaches. Prices are typical ranges at major US retailers. Our six tests

What we skip. Logo merchandise, scented products and anything that ends up in a drawer by January. Idea #1 is our own product, and we say so. How we make money

Questions HR teams ask

What’s the best Christmas gift for a large number of employees?

One that doesn’t depend on size, diet or taste, and that doesn’t need individual shipping. Digital gifts scale best: the same effort for 50 people as for 5,000.

When should I order bulk employee Christmas gifts?

Physical bulk orders should be placed by early November. Bakeries, printers and suppliers fill up fast, and shipping to many addresses takes time. Digital gifts can be ordered up to mid-December.

How do I handle dietary restrictions in bulk food gifts?

Order a nut-free default and a small batch of gluten-free or vegan alternatives, and let people opt in. Or choose a non-food gift and avoid the problem entirely.

Do bulk gift suppliers offer invoices and purchase orders?

Most corporate suppliers do. Ask for an invoice payable by bank transfer and check whether they accept purchase orders before you commit, because procurement rules often require it.
